Quinn rides his Bike

Hurray! Quinn is learning to ride his Tigger two wheeler bike w/ training wheels. It took a lot of convincing and encouragement from the little girls who live across from us.

Scarlett discovers her thumb

Scarlett now can find her thumb to suck on but often loses it shortly after finding it.

Octoberfest 2008

After Fall festival, we headed to Octoberfest for more food, games and prizes. Scarlett slept through it all. Quinn liked the hats!

Fall Festival 2008

On October 25th, we went to the Fall Festival at Quinn's school. Quinn had lots of fun playing games, eating hot dogs and getting the chance to swing at a pinata. Check out the video.

Halloween 2008

Quinn went trick or treating for the first time this year. He wanted to be a ghost so we did the sheet thing. We met up with our friends Jack & Sam as well as some Japanese friends and headed out to the streets of Yokota to gather the good stuff. Quinn was ready until he had to go up & down so many stairs. He held up more than one crowd of kiddos trying to get to the door. At one point one guy carried him down the stairs. So from that point on Quinn thought he should be carried down the stairs saying "mommy help me". Thanks to Sam's enthusiasm to get more candy, Quinn was motivated to do the stairs himself in the end.
Scarlett stayed home and gave out candy with Grammy and Pepere.

Jack O'Lantern & Pumpkin Bread

So to get into the spirit of Halloween, Quinn and I made a Jack O'Lantern and baked some bread. We had lots of fun doing both. Quinn loves to help in the kitchen. But i don't know if i would call it helping. He's very good at clean up .... licking the spoon.

Scarlett and the Boys

Yes Scarlett is already hanging with the big boys...

Undokai 2008

Quinn is enjoying his new school. On Oct. he had "Sports Day" or Undokai. The day included an opening ceremony, various races, and dances. Quinn won his running race (his only competition was one other boy) Go Quinn! He did the "Onigiri Dance" wearing his Onigiri hat. (onigiri is the Japanese equivalent of our sandwich. It's a triangle of rice stuffed with different fish that's wrapped with a piece of seaweed). Check out the pictures...too cute. And if that wasn't fun enough, he received a gold Mickey Mouse medal.
