Quinn went on a photo shoot for the Combi Mini children's clothing catalog. He had a young lady that followed him around to personally change his clothes when needed and lots of others to entertain him between cuts. To top it off, they feed the kids french fries, chocolate, candy and juices. Quinn modeled 5 outfits at the Yokohama Country club. He took pictures in the gym playing basketball and soccer, another in the library playing with a fancy chess board and then a few in the bowling lanes with all the other kids. I only took a few photos but hopefully he'll make the final cuts in the catalog. What an experience to be treated like a super star.

Modeling for Combi Mini

Fun in the Snow at Shiga Kogen
So the family went on a ski trip to the mountains this past week-end. Fun was had by all. Neal tried snow boarding and went skiing without any injuries. Quinn, Scarlett, and Dayna played in the snow with our friends Amy & Erik. There was a ton of nice powdery snow. But we did have the typical foreigner in a foreign land incident. We were trying to get to a kids play area by bus. Unfortunately it took us 4 bus rides (sometimes going in the opposite direction than we needed), and cost us $20.00 each. Check out the picture of the gang riding on the back of the RIGHT bus.
Steering...Who Needs It!
Quinn had a great time sledding at Shiga Kogen. Not a single complaint about being cold. We attempted to make a snowman (too powdery) snow angels and had a few snow ball fights. As you will see in the videos Quinn is quite a reckless driver on the slopes.

Who would have thought...
So Recycle Shops are are very popular around Japan. They are stores that work on the old premise, "One man's junk, is another man's treasure". So Neal & I stopped in a shop on the way home from our anniversary dinner and what did we see but this lovely lamp (remind anyone of a certain Holiday favorite movie?). Too funny!
