I just love it when the moon is in the 7th high and Jupiter alines with Mars .... because then Quinn and Scarlett are so sweet to one another and play ever so nicely. Last week-end Quinn was helping Scarlett ride his Razor scooter and it was one of the sweetest moments. I hope as they get older there are more of these moments.

Scarlett's New Ride
For months, Scarlett has watched Quinn and the neighbors, Nathan & Marshall ride around on bikes and scooters. For a while she was content to run around behind them. But no more! She fussed and fussed at me to put her on Quinn's bike and I knew it was time to get her a ride of her own. Scarlett loves her Dora Trike. She can't reach the pedals yet but propels herself by scooting her feet on the ground. Every day she says, "Mama, where bike?" and often goes to the kitchen window to just look at it. The boys continue to loop her but now she has her own set of wheels.

Hachioji Science Dome
While geocaching a couple of weeks ago, we discovered the Hachioji Science Dome. It was a kids' dream... filled with buttons to push, giant musical instruments to play, and lots of machines to touch, explore and play with. When you first walk in, there are buckets and buckets of blocks to build with on the floor. The one picture is of Quinn holding one block in front of a couple kids who had built a giant tower around heir brother. Quinn really liked the ping pong ball maze and the bike that you pedaled to turn on a light bulb. Scarlett liked the giant keyboard and standing on the world map that rotated. Another great spot in Japan to keep the kids busy and happy. Unfortunately the train car outside was closed for cleaning during this visit.
Hachioji Science Dome Part 2
Our favorite part of the trip to the Science Dome was also the funniest to watch. The kids stood in front of a TV screen and it would put hats/costumes on them. It would recognize 3 different people. Then it would change scenes and characters and included astronauts, pilots/stewardess, little red riding hood/big bad wolf, and funny fish hats. Another TV screen would put a picture up and the kids had to jump around and wave their arms so it would clear the picture and show them on the TV. Quinn and Scarlett loved seeing themselves on the TV and jumping around to clear the screen. What did we do before all this technology?
