We are always amazed at how quickly we can go from the ugliness of the concrete jungle to the beautiful scenic views of Japan. This time we followed in the footsteps of a friend's great discovery. It was a beautiful hiking trail that lead to a waterfall and a nice lake side resting spot. The force was not with us to find the caches that day but the views more than made up for it. Even the dogs got to tag along this day. So it was a true Martyniak family outing.

Another Great Geocaching Spot
We are always amazed at how quickly we can go from the ugliness of the concrete jungle to the beautiful scenic views of Japan. This time we followed in the footsteps of a friend's great discovery. It was a beautiful hiking trail that lead to a waterfall and a nice lake side resting spot. The force was not with us to find the caches that day but the views more than made up for it. Even the dogs got to tag along this day. So it was a true Martyniak family outing.
Our First Cucumber of the Season
This year we are growing two kinds of tomatoes and cucumbers and blueberries. We have had lots of cherry tomatoes but this was our first cucumber. The kids couldn't wait to pick it. They want to pick everything that starts growing and usually well before it's ready to be picked. If I don't keep my eye on Scarlett she pulls blooms off before I can stop her.
Celebrate America
On July 3rd we headed to the annual Celebrate America/ July 4th celebration on Yokota AB. Why they had it on the 3rd this year, I don't know. The kids enjoyed the rides, games and fireworks. Scarlett was a bit grumpy and Neal swears it's because I made her wear the dress I made her. She didn't like it from the get go. As soon as I put it on her, she started fussing and trying to take it off saying, "Off Momma, Off". By the fireworks she was saying "home".
