UNDO KAI 2010

Yesterday was Quinn's annual Sport's Day at his yochien. As usual, it was a super fun day filled with some amazing work put in by all the teachers. Events for Quinn's class included a bear dance, a jungle dance, foot races, and my all time favorite Che Che kori (video included below). Che Che Kori is a game were the kids are divided into a red team and a white team. They do a little dance and then the music changes and they run and try to throw balls into a basket. Two parents wear the baskets on their backs and walk around while the kids throw the balls at them. At the end, the kids count out the balls to see which team has the most.

Our friend Charlie's class had to run through an obstacle course and at the end build a giant Obento box ... super kawaii! Japanese teacher's creativity and ability to make anything out of paper never ceases to amaze me.

Even Scarlett got to run a race. And she got a book and pinwheel at the end. We are surely going to miss our Japanese yochien experience when it finally comes to an end.
